First you need to take a step back, look at the general picture, analyze your business and answer some basic questions. What are my strengths? What prevents me from growing? Is there an opportunity I have to take advantage of? Do I have a team capable of coping? Do I need extra funding? How strong and threatening is competition?
Once you have a clear idea of the current state of the business, you can envision what you want to be in one, three, five years from now. Goals must be ambitious but realistic!
